Welcome Parkstad of Netherlands
As a continuation of our Global Exploration program, Soneike High School is thrilled to host Parkstad from the Netherlands from Monday, July 15th to Friday, July 19th.
This exciting cultural exchange follows our successful program with CIOS last week and promises to be an enriching experience for both our students and our Dutch visitors.
During their stay, the Parkstad students will immerse themselves in our school's culture, attend classes, and participate in various activities and excursions. Our students will have the opportunity to learn about the Netherlands' customs, traditions, and way of life, while also sharing their own experiences and perspectives. We look forward to a fun-filled week of learning, laughter, and new friendships!
Day 1: Cultural Exchange The Parkstad students arrived at Soneike High School on Monday, eager to meet their new friends and experience the local culture. Our students welcomed them with open arms, and the group quickly settled into their new surroundings. The day was filled with learning and laughter as the Parkstad students and our own students shared their respective cultures with each other. The Soneike students showcased their language, music, and dance, while the Parkstad students shared their own customs and traditions.
Day 2: Sports Day and Fun-filled Night The second day was packed with excitement as the group participated in a series of sports games and activities led by Coach Kuda. Despite the rainy weather, the group made the most of their time outside and had an absolute blast playing together.
The sports session was all about inclusivity and teamwork, with games that required coordination, strategy, and communication. The group then headed to the Grandwest Casino for an unforgettable night of ice skating, bowling, and delicious food.
