Prize Giving Day 2025

Soneike High School Celebrates Excellence at 2025 Prize Giving Ceremony

On 8 December 2025, Soneike High School proudly hosted its annual Prize Giving Ceremony, a prestigious event that celebrated academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to school life. The occasion brought together learners, educators, parents, and invited guests to honour the outstanding achievements of learners from Grades 8 to 11.

The ceremony highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence, with top-performing learners across all grades being recognised for their dedication, perseverance, and hard work throughout the year. Each award served as a testament to the culture of excellence that continues to define Soneike High School. A key moment of the day was the announcement of the 2026 Prefect Body, marking the beginning of a new chapter in learner leadership.

The audience warmly received the confirmation that Lihle Mdiza and Zoey van Rensburg would continue their roles as Head Boy and Head Girl for 2026, respectively. Their reappointment was met with resounding applause, reflecting the confidence placed in their proven leadership, integrity, and commitment to the school.

One of the most memorable highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the Principal’s Award to Adrian Paulsen. This prestigious award recognised his tireless and unwavering participation in school events, as well as his role as an outstanding ambassador for Soneike High School. Adrian’s dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to serve exemplify the values the school strives to instil in all learners.

The Prize Giving Ceremony was more than just an awards event; it was a celebration of effort, leadership, and school spirit. As the school looks ahead to the new academic year, the achievements recognised on this day serve as inspiration for all learners to continue striving for excellence. Soneike High School remains committed to shaping well-rounded individuals who lead with purpose, pride, and responsibility.
