Soneike Majorettes Embark on their Nationals Journey
On the 9th of July 2025, the Soneike community came together to bid farewell to our talented Eike Majorettes as they prepared to take the stage at Nationals in Klerksdorp, North West. The emotional evening was filled with words of encouragement, heartfelt farewells, and special recognition.
Mrs. Baker, the Principal, addressed the team, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and enjoying every moment of their tour. She expressed gratitude to the staff, uniform moms, and coaches for their tireless efforts and dedication.
The evening's highlight was the generous gift presentation from Soneike Mall and Spec Savers, including tracksuits, t-shirts, bottles, and bags. These thoughtful gestures were a testament to the community's support and enthusiasm for the team's endeavors.
Special mention was made of the Grade 8s, who were participating in their first Nationals, and Captain Chelsea Charles, who was representing the team in her final majorette outing as a Grade 12 student.
As the Soneike Majorettes head to Nationals, we wish them all the best and remind them that, as our motto Lux et Auctus says, "Light and growth illuminate the way and grow in stature and spirit every day." We have no doubt that they will raise the Soneike flag high and bring glory back home. *Best of luck, Eike Majorettes!* We believe in you and can't wait to hear about your achievements!
