A Week of Blessings: Soneike High School Celebrates Success
This week has been an extraordinary one for Soneike High School, filled with achievements, recognition, and inspiration.
We reflect on the past few days with gratitude and pride. We commenced the week by honoring our rich cultural heritage on Heritage Day, where learners and staff came together to celebrate our diversity, showcasing traditional attire, music, and customs.
This was followed by our learners' dedication to heritage preservation being acknowledged at the prestigious Golden Shield Heritage Awards. As provincial winners of the HESOP competition, our team attended this esteemed event, networking with fellow heritage enthusiasts.
Our academic excellence was also recognized at the WCED Metro East District's Systemic Test Series awards, where our Grade 9 learners achieved the highest results in English Home Language. This achievement is a testament to their hard work and our educators' commitment.
The highlight of our week was undoubtedly the visit from the Minister of Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers. The Minister donated IT equipment to enhance our digital learning experience and emphasized the importance of embracing our school motto, "Lux et Auctus" (Light and Growth). This generous donation and words of encouragement have motivated us to continue striving for excellence. As we conclude the 3rd term exams, we acknowledge the learners' perseverance and dedication.
We wish everyone a well-deserved break and look forward to the final term. This week has been a remarkable journey, showcasing our school's spirit, resilience, and achievements. We are grateful for the blessings and recognition, and we'll continue striving for excellence. We express our appreciation to our learners, staff, and partners for their tireless efforts.
